building the kingdom

  • LifeBook I love these so much. They are little pocket Bibles for youth with notes and questions that teens often have. You can get them for free, and they’re so great to pass out. I keep some in my backpack and car, and I pass them out at events.

  • Voice of the Martyrs Christians all over the world are being persecuted and killed for their faith, and this organization does many things for them, such as rescuing them, providing evangelistic material for them, and offering ways to donate to them. I donate every month, and I also get so many resources from them. I have a whole blog post on the importance of helping our persecuted brothers and sisters. Please get involved.

  • Compassion International This organization does so much good in the world, it’s not even funny. I’ve been a sponsor of a young girl for years, and I honestly love it. If you have $30 to spare, please use it to make a huge impact on a child’s life. (There are other ways to get involved if you can’t spare $30!)

  • How To Share Your Faith One of my blog posts where I walk you through how to share your faith without being totally awkward or weird about it.

  • Cru This organization has a bunch of resources for growing your faith and building the kingdom. I have used some of their Bible studies as lessons when I lead Bible studies, and they’re pretty good.

  • HopeBox Send cute, uplifting Christian subscription boxes to people (or yourself) who need a little sprinkle of hope!

  • SHE podcast Jordan Lee Dooley is seriously my role model, and she talks about faith, health, and practical little nuggets on living your best life. Be sure to follow her on IG. Seriously, I love her.

  • The Help* One of the greatest movies in the world. If you like funny, heart-wrenching movies, this one is for you.

  • Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich* These books have a special place in my heart because they are so freaking funny. I have busted out laughing in the middle of class, on buses, and really any time I read them. (I just linked to the first one, but they can stand alone for the most part.)
